Stringrays Team News
Attention Stringrays!
We are excited to introduce two new members to our team!
Coach - Kaitlin Keltner
Hi! I’m Coach Kaitlin! I’ve been coaching swimming on and off for the past decade, and swimming has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I began my own swim journey at just 5 years old in a summer league and continued swimming competitively through my freshman year of college.
Today, I’m proud to be the Head Coach of the Indian Lake Swim Team as well as
the Head Coach of the JPII Knights. Coaching has given me the opportunity to
share my love of swimming with the next generation and help swimmers of all
ages build confidence, develop strong fundamentals, and challenge themselves to
become better athletes.
My goal is to create a positive and encouraging environment where swimmers can
work hard, have fun, support one another, and learn that success is about so
much more than what the clock says. Swimming is a lifelong skill, and I feel
incredibly lucky to help kids discover a sport that can teach them discipline,
perseverance, teamwork, and confidence both in and out of the pool.
I’m excited to continue growing as a coach and, most importantly, to help each
swimmer reach their own goals and enjoy the journey along the way!
Team Coordinator - Becky Schwope
Hi Stingray swimmers and families! My name is Becky and I am so excited to join the Stingray team in Fall 2026 and work with Coach Izzy as a Team Coordinator. I learned to swim at a YMCA in Indiana and have been swimming my whole life. I swam competitively in high school and played club water polo in college. My 3 kids have grown up participating in camps, classes, swim lessons and more at the YMCA of Middle Tennessee. And my daughter, Alison, just joined the Stingrays!!! I am a YMCA Swim Instructor and the YMCA Active Older Adults Coordinator.
As a Stingray Team Coordinator I will share important team updates and help keep communication lines open between coaches, families, swimmers and the YMCA. Please reach out to me anytime with team questions and remember no question is too big or too small. I look forward to meeting all of you at a practice soon!
If you see Coach Kaitlin or Becky at the pool, make sure to give them a warm Stringrays welcome!
